MIKE, UH, MIKE AND MIRANDA CAME AND PRESENTED TO OUR GROUP.

I KNOW THREE OF YOU GUYS WERE NOT HERE.

SO THE APPLICATION, I WAS EMAILED TO EVERYBODY.

I ALSO HAVE IT UP ON THE, THE BOARD.

THEY ARE REQUESTING A HOT GRANT FOR KEEPING THE MUSEUM, THEIR, THEIR, THEIR PROGRAM THAT THEY HAVE.

THAT BASICALLY OPENS THE MUSEUM.

SO IT ENABLES TOURISTS TO VISIT THE MUSEUM DURING OPENING HOURS FOUR TIMES A DAY, THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY, DURING AND DURING SPECIAL EVENTS.

SHARE THE HISTORY OF LEAGUE CITY AND PROMOTE LOCAL TOURISM.

UH, PART OF THIS INVOLVES A TICKETING SYSTEM WHERE THEY'RE GIVING, THEY PRINTED REALLY NICE SOUVENIR STYLE TICKETS AND SHARED THEM WITH HOTELS.

UM, SO THEY GIVE A STOCK TO ALL THE DIFFERENT HOTELS THEY'VE BEEN DELIVERING THEM.

AND, UM, WITH A LETTER ACTUALLY WENT WITH HIM TO, TO HAND THEM OUT.

AND WE'VE HAD SOME REFILL REQUESTS ALREADY FOR, UH, FAIRFIELD.

I DON'T KNOW HOW SOUTH SHORE IS DOING ON THEIRS, BUT THEY GIVE A NICE LETTER.

THEY HAD TO WAIT FOR THEIR BOARD TO FINALIZE AN APPROVED VOTE ON THEIR BUDGET.

AND THAT'S WHAT WAS SENT TO Y'ALL AS SUPPLEMENTAL DOCUMENTS, UH, THE OTHER DAY, WHENEVER I RECEIVED THEM.

SO THERE, DO YOU WANNA DISCUSS IT OR HAVE ANY QUESTIONS? UM, JUST SO YOU KNOW, THIS YEAR WE HAVE, UH, A HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IN OUR GRANT PROGRAM TO ALLOCATE.

AND SO WE GET A LOT OF PEOPLE COMING OUT FOR THAT.

SO THEY'RE JUST A GOOD, THEY'VE BEEN A REALLY GOOD PARTNER FOR THE CITY.

UM, SO THE TEXAS MUSIC OFFICE, WHICH IS A BRANCH OF THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE IS COMING IN THANK YOU, IS COMING IN TO, UH, OFFICIALLY GIVE US OUR CERTIFICATION.

WE'RE ALSO CELEBRATING THE FACT THAT IT IS THE THIRD YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF MUSIC IN THE HISTORIC DISTRICT.

AND THE FACT THAT LEE PARK HAS BEEN DESIGNATED A LEGACY PARK, UH, BY THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR ITS CULTURAL HISTORY AND ENRICHMENT TO THE CITY OF LEAGUE CITY.

GALVESTON BAY BREWING WILL BE THERE.

IT IS A JURIED ART SHOW, SO WE DO HAVE A COMMITTEE THAT LOOKS AT THE ART PIECES JUST TO MAKE SURE THAT IT'S AN APPROPRIATE BOOTH.

BUT THERE'S A LOT OF CITY ORDINANCES WHEN IT COMES TO, UM, YOU KNOW, GRASS OVERGROWN JUNK VEHICLES IN THE DRIVEWAY, JUNK BOATS IN THE DRIVEWAY, JUNK BOATS IN THE DRIVEWAY, THAT KIND OF THING.

SO WE'RE GONNA TALK ABOUT ALL THE THINGS YOU NEED TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH CODE COMPLIANCE AND HOW TO MAKE A COMPLAINT.

THERE'S A COUPLE LITTLE, WE, WE FOUND SOME LEAKS IN THE ROOF, SO WE'RE REPAIRING THOSE 'CAUSE WE WANNA MAKE SURE THE BUILDING'S TOTALLY GREAT FOR THEM.

SO WE'LL BE MOVING THEM IN IN MID-MAY.

AND WE'RE GONNA BE STARTING SOME OPEN HOUSE EVENTS ONCE THEY KIND OF GET SETTLED.

SO PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO VISIT THE ARTISAN RESIDENCE STUDIO SPACE, MEET THE ARTISTS, TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE THINGS THEY'RE PRODUCING, AND THEN WE'RE ALSO GONNA BE OFFERING, UH, CLASSES.

PART OF THEIR REQUIREMENT IS THEY HAVE TO DO THREE CLASSES OVER THE NINE MONTHS.

AND SO WE'VE BEEN MEETING WITH PARKS AND LIBRARY, AND SO WE'RE GONNA BE OFFERING CLASSES FOR SENIORS, CLASSES FOR SUMMER CAMP CLASSES FOR ADAPTIVE PROGRAMMING, UM, THE ADAPTIVE PROGRAMMING, UM, STUDENTS, AND THEN ALSO SOME PROGRAMS AT THE LIBRARY.

SO WE'RE REALLY EXCITED BECAUSE WE'LL BE ABLE TO OFFER THESE FREE ART PROGRAMS FOR A LOT OF OUR DIFFERENT, UM, DEMOGRAPHICS OF OUR CITY.

UM, AND THEN WE'RE ACTUALLY, IT'S, IT'S KIND OF A UNIQUE PIECE THAT THAT'S, YOU HAVE TO REALLY LOOK AT IT, BUT THERE'S TURTLES AND DRAGONFLIES AND, UM, ALMOST LIKE, LIKE CATTAILS AND ALL OF THAT.

SO IT KIND OF CELEBRATES LEAGUE CITIES, UM, NATURE THAT YOU WOULD SEE OUT AND ABOUT, LIKE MAYBE AT HERITAGE PARK.

AND THEN WE'RE PAINTING A MURAL UNDERNEATH THE SLAB THAT HAS TURTLES AND LILY PADS AND FLOWERS, AND A, AND COI.

SO IT'LL ALMOST LOOK LIKE A COY POND UNDERNEATH THE SCULPTURE.

SO I'M EXCITED ABOUT THAT.

AND THEN THE MOST LAST THING I'LL MENTION IS THAT'S ONE OF, WE'RE GETTING ANOTHER SCULPTURE PIECE OVER AT HERITAGE PARK.

THEY'RE INSTALLING THE CONCRETE BASE THIS WEEK, AND THE SCULPTURE WILL PROBABLY GO IN AND THE NEXT TWO WEEKS, IT'S PRETTY BIG.

IT'S, IT'S LITERALLY LIKE SIX FEET BY WIDE, BY FIVE FEET TALL.

AND IT'S OF A BLUE HERON.

AND WE THOUGHT BLUE HERITAGE PARK WOULD BE THE BEST PLACE TO PUT IT SINCE IT'S SUCH A GREAT WAITING BIRD, UH, COMMUNITY AND A GREAT PLACE TO GO WATCH, UH, WAITING BIRDS AND TWO DU BIRD WATCHING.

SO WE HAVE SOME ART THINGS POPPING UP THAT YOU GUYS WILL THAT'S COOL.

SO WE USUALLY TRY TO DO A TREE GIVEAWAY AROUND THE SPRING, AND THEN WE DO ANOTHER ONE AT ECO FEST IN THE FALL.

SO WE REALLY TRY TO GIVE AWAY QUITE A BIT OF TREES, UM, AS PART OF OUR CONSERVATION AND, UM, NATURAL, UH, NATURALIST MOVEMENT THAT WE DO AS A CITY, WHICH IS ALSO UNDER THE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT.
