OUR FUNDING IS SPECIAL FOR THIS BOARD.
WE'RE FUNDED BY THE HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX, AND I BELIEVE LAST YEAR WE MAY HAVE HAD A TRAINING ON THE USE OF THOSE FUNDS FROM, UM, TEXAS HOTEL LODGING ASSOCIATION.
UH, SO WE ARE FUNDED BY THE TAXES THAT THE HO THAT PEOPLE PAY WHENEVER THEY COME TO SPEND THE NIGHT HERE, IN LEAST CITY, THE HOTELS.
AND THEY HAVE TO BE USED, UH, TO DIRECTLY PROMOTE TOURISM AND ENHANCE THE CONVENTION AND HOTEL INDUSTRY HERE.
AND THEN THEY HAVE TO FIT IN ONE OF NINE CATEGORIES.
AND THOSE ARE ALL LISTED THERE FOR YOU.
BUT, UH, THE, THE PURPOSE OF THE BOARD IS TO KIND OF OVERSEE THE EXPENDITURES OF THOSE FUNDS AND, UM, AND, AND ADMINISTER A HOT TAX GRANT PROGRAM, UH, WHICH I ADDED A COPY IN YOUR PACKET THERE OF THE APPLICATION FOR THAT.
SO WE MEET MONTHLY AND, UH, WE LOOK, REVIEW TOURISM REPORTS HERE, NEWS ON THE CURRENT PROJECTS, AND EVALUATE THOSE HOT TAX GRANT PROGRAM APPLICATIONS.
