SECONDLY, I WANNA THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS RESPONDED TO ME FOR MY REQUEST TO PUT GOOD CLASSIC BOOKS FOR THE CHILDREN IN THE LIBRARY.

AND I WANTED TO GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE.

THIS IS WINGS FOR PER THEY WERE WRITTEN.

THERE WAS A SERIES OF BOOKS WRITTEN BY ANGRY AND EDGAR PERRIN DIALLER, WHO WERE IMMIGRANTS FROM NORWAY IN THE 1930S.

THEY WROTE WONDERFUL BOOKS ABOUT OUR HISTORY, BUT THIS PARTICULAR BOOK WAS VERY PERSONAL TO THEM BECAUSE IT WAS ABOUT THEIR NEPHEW AND THEIR HOMETOWN IN NORWAY WHEN IT WAS INVADED BY NAZI GERMANY AND WHAT THE PEOPLE DID AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM, AND HOW THE CHILDREN THEMSELVES RESISTED THE NAZIS AT GREAT DANGER TO THEMSELVES.

AND THEIR, THEIR NEPHEW AS A TEENAGER ESCAPED TO ENGLAND AND WITH OTHER TEENAGERS FROM THE TOWN AND WENT AND LEARNED TO BE FIGHTER PILOTS TO GO BACK AND FIGHT FOR THEIR COUNTRY.

SO I GAVE YOU PICTURES, SAMPLES.

LOOK AT THEM AS I READ THIS LITTLE EXCERPT.

THE FATHERS HAD STOOD UP TO DEFEND THEIR NATIVE SOIL, BUT THEY WERE TOO FEW AND NOT WELL ENOUGH ARMED.

THEY HAD BELIEVED IN FREEDOM AND JUSTICE AND HAD NOT BEEN PREPARED TO FIGHT.

THESE ARE THE TYPES OF BOOKS THAT PLANT THE SEEDS BECAUSE THE DAY IS GOING TO COME WHEN WE MAY BE INVADED.

WILL OUR CHILDREN WHO GROW UP BE WILLING TO FIGHT OR LOVE THIS COUNTRY ENOUGH TO DO IT? AND THAT IS WHY I DO WHAT I DO.

UM, I'M HERE TONIGHT BECAUSE I, ABOUT NINE MONTHS AGO, BOUGHT A HOME IN LAKE CITY IN THE LAKES OF BAY COLONY.

AND I SPECIFICALLY CHOSE TO MOVE TO LEAGUE CITY SO THAT MY KIDS WOULD HAVE A SAFE PLACE TO GROW UP AND, AND A BIG YARD AND A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE WE COULD TAKE WALKS AND WE DO DAILY.

UM, I HAVE A 1-YEAR-OLD AND THEN I HAVE 6-YEAR-OLD TWINS.

AND, UM, RECENTLY IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD WE HAVE HAD A MAJOR ISSUE WITH PEOPLE FEEDING WILDLIFE SUCH AS SEAGULLS.

AND, UM, WE HAVE THOUSANDS NOW, UM, OF SEAGULLS JUST FLYING OVER OUR RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD DAILY.

UM, MY 1-YEAR-OLD, WE WERE ON A WALK THE OTHER DAY AND IN HIS STROLLER ON OUR WALK, HE WAS POOPED ON ON HIS HEAD.

AND, UH, WE HAVE A NEIGHBOR WHO IS THROWING HUMAN FOOD, LIKE ROTTING LEFTOVER FOOD THAT SHOULD BE THROWN AWAY, YOU KNOW, IN A TRASH CAN.

AND SHE'S THROWING IT ON OUR SIDEWALKS, OUR DRIVEWAYS, OUR STREETS.

AND, UM, SHE'S DOING IT TO FEED THE SEAGULLS, WHICH IS, I BELIEVE ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.

AND WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH ANIMAL CONTROL AND A FEW OTHER DIFFERENT PEOPLE ON THE ISSUE ITSELF.

BUT I AM HERE TO SEE IF THERE'S MORE THAT COULD BE DONE ABOUT THE ISSUE AT HAND, BECAUSE NOW WE'RE HAVING MORE DANGEROUS ANIMALS AS WELL, SUCH AS COYOTES.

UM, I CATCH THEM ON MY RING CAMERA ALMOST EVERY NIGHT.

AND LIKE I SAID, I'VE LIVED HERE NINE MONTHS AND IT'S NEVER BEEN AN ISSUE UNTIL THE FEEDING BEGUN.

SO THAT'S WHAT I'M HERE TO BRING AWARENESS TO.

I GUESS WE WERE MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE RECENTLY.

UH, IF YOU HAVEN'T, UH, NOTICED THERE IS AN OUTPOURING OF RESIDENTS WHO HAVE SHOWN UP AT THE P AND Z MEETINGS, UM, AGAINST THESE STORAGE FACILITIES.

UH, THEY ARE REACHING OUT TO, AND THEY GAVE ME A VERY LAST MINUTE MEETING NOTICE AT 1130 TODAY SAYING THAT THEY'RE MEETING AT PAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TOMORROW FROM SIX TO SEVEN 30 AT LESS THAN A 24 HOUR NOTICE.

UM, I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS A MEETING THAT IS SPONSORED BY THE CITY OR IF THIS IS JUST CYPRESS CREEK REACHING OUT TO RESIDENTS.

UH, ACCORDING TO WHAT I KNOW, THEY'VE ONLY REACHED OUT TO ME.

UM, BUT THESE ARE LAST MINUTE BACKDOOR MEETINGS THAT THEY'RE TRYING TO HAVE, AND I WANT YOU TO BE AWARE OF THEM.

THE BIG TOP CONCERN THAT WE ARE SEEING IS THAT WE FEAR FOR THE SAFETY WITH THESE LITHIUM BATTERY STORAGE FACILITIES.

AS YOU KNOW, WE ARE A VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND OUR FIRE MARSHAL AND OUR FIRE CHIEF HAS SAID WE DO NOT HAVE THE TRAINING TO HANDLE A THERMAL RUNAWAY FOR OUR FIREFIGHTERS.

UM, THERE ARE LOTS OF CHEMICALS THAT LEACH OUT OF THESE STORAGE FACILITIES.

THEY GET HOT.

UM, AND, AND THERE ARE JUST SO MANY ISSUES WITH THIS.

WE NEED TO START LOOKING AT WHAT WE CAN DO TO MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE OUR DUCKS IN A ROW AND MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE OUR RESIDENTS SAFETY IN MIND FIRST, SAFETY FIRST, AND MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE SAFE.

UM, IT IS A MYSTERIOUS THING THAT WE HAVE A LITHIUM BATTERY STORAGE FACILITY ON, ON FLOYD ROAD.

UM, I HAVE SENT AN EMAIL IN REGARDS TO THE NUMEROUS OCCURRENCES AND SERVICE CALLS FROM FIRE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, WHICH HAVE SERIOUS, SERIOUSLY INCREASED SINCE CUSHMAN AND WAKEFIELD TOOK OVER, UH, MANAGING THE COMPLEX STARTING OFF, UH, WITH A BANG IN JUNE OF 2022, WITH A FULL BLOWN SEARCH WARRANT, WITH A SLEW OF POLICE CARS TO INCLUDE UNDERCOVER CARS AND HEAVY WEAPONS ON DISPLAY.

YOU CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT IT WAS PROBABLY FOR NARCOTICS.

UM, AS MUCH AS WE LOVE RESPECT AND OUR FRANK FALL FOR OUR POLICE OFFICERS FIREFIGHTERS, UM, AND THANKFUL FOR, YOU KNOW, THEM BEING HERE IN GENERAL, UH, LET'S JUST FACE IT, YOU ARE OUR LOCAL JIM CANTO DURING HURRICANE SEASON.

UH, 11 NEWS, UM, IS JUST A PRIME EXAMPLE AS WE UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WAS NO NEED TO PURSUE CRIMINAL CHARGES FOR A FEW FOOD ITEMS. THE QUESTION THAT REMAINS FOR A LOT OF TENANTS IS WERE THOSE CONTRACTORS, UH, CASING THE UNITS ABLE TO MAKE DUPLICATE KEYS TO COME BACK LATER.

UM, I WAS EXPLAINING, BUT THERE WAS A, UM, CASE WITH A WOMAN WHO SUED MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL, UH, FOR A SIMILAR, UH, CASE, UH, SIMILAR INCIDENT OF A THIRD PARTY CONTRACTOR BEING GIVEN THE KEYS NOT BEING ESCORTED BY MANAGEMENT WHO CLOSED THE DOORS, UH, BEHIND HER, ASSAULTED HER AND RAPED HER IN ONE OF THEIR PROPERTIES IN SAN ANTONIO.

WE DO NOT HAVE ANY ANSWERS AS TO THE THIRD PARTY, UH, CONTRACTOR WAS, UM, STILL PROCEEDING UNSCORED AS WEDNESDAY.

IT WAS EXCELLENT.

IT WAS ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF, AND THEY WENT OVER THE HISTORY OF THE PROJECT, THE EVOLUTION OF THE PROJECT, WHERE WE ARE NOW, AND WORKING TOWARD COMPLETION IN, UH, 2032.

THEY PLAN TO HAVE ANOTHER PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT MEETING THE SECOND QUARTER OF THIS YEAR.
