AND HERE'S A PICTURE OF THE EXISTING DOOR AT THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE AND THE PROPOSED DOOR REPLACEMENT. AND HERE'S SOME VIEWS OF THE HOUSE FROM THE STREET. SO I WON'T READ EVERYTHING FROM THIS TABLE, BUT JUST A QUICK SYNOPSIS. THE ROOF MATERIAL IS LIKE FOR LIKE, AND IT'S CONSISTENT WITH THE HISTORIC DISTRICT DESIGN GUIDELINES. THE GARAGE AREA, THERE IS CHANGES TO THE DESIGN OF THE GARAGE AREA, [00:05:01] BUT THE MATERIALS ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE DESIGN GUIDELINES AS WELL AS THE REPLACEMENT DOOR. THEY REMOVED AN ALUMINUM GARAGE DOOR AND THEY'RE REPLACING IT WITH A BIGGER ALUMINUM GARAGE DOOR. THE PORCH, EVEN THOUGH THE, THE PITCH OF THE ROOF IS BEING CHANGED, THEY'RE ADDING A GABLE ROOF. IT IS CONSISTENT WITH THE DESIGN GUIDELINES AND THE COLUMNS THEY'RE PROPOSING TO COVER THOSE WITH WOOD. UM, IT IS NOT A LIKE FOR LIKE REPLACEMENT, BUT IT IS A CONSISTENT MATERIAL. THE SIDING, AGAIN, IS A, UM, CONSISTENT WITH THE DESIGN GUIDELINES AS WELL. AND THEY'RE USING ORIGINAL RECLAIMED WOOD THAT WAS FOUND ON THE INSIDE OF THE GARAGE. AND THE DOOR IS CONSISTENT WITH THE DESIGN GUIDELINES. HOWEVER, IT'S NOT LIKE FOR, LIKE, THE HISTORIC RESOURCE SURVEY INDICATES THAT THE PROPERTY AS HAVING NO PREVIOUS DETERMINATION AND THE 2017 RECOMMENDATION DOES NOT INDICATE WHETHER THE PROPERTY IS CONTRIBUTING DUE TO THE SIGNIFICANT CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS TO THE STRUCTURE. AS NOTED IN THE HISTORIC RESOURCE SURVEY, THE STRUCTURE WOULD LIKELY BE DEEMED NON-CONTRIBUTING. THE ROOF REPLACEMENT AND OTHER EXTERIOR WORK BEGAN BEFORE THE APPLICANT APPLIED FOR THE CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS. AND WORK WAS STOPPED BY CODE ENFORCEMENT. THE COMPLETED RE-ROOF ON THE MAIN STRUCTURE AND THE GARAGE ADDITION ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE HISTORIC DESIGN GUIDELINES AND ARE LIKE FOR LIKE REPLACEMENT OF THE PREVIOUSLY EXISTING ROOF. THE GARAGE ADDITION WAS BUILT IN THE 1970S AS AN ADDITION TO THE MAIN STRUCTURE. THE PROPOSAL TO REPLACE THE GARAGE DOOR ALTERS THE ORIGINAL DOOR CONFIGURATION ON THE FRONT OF THE ADDITION BY REMOVING A SINGLE DOOR AND ABORTED WINDOW AND ADDING A LARGER ALUMINUM GARAGE DOOR. THE PROPOSED GARAGE DOOR IS ALUMINUM AND IS SIMILAR MATERIAL AS THE GARAGE DOOR THAT WAS REMOVED. THE HISTORIC RESOURCE SURVEY NOTES THAT THE ORIGINAL PORCH ROOF HAS BEEN REPLACED. THE ADDED ROOF GABLE HAS CHANGED THE STYLE OF THE PORCH FROM A FLAT ROOF TO A PITCHED ROOF. THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED PORCH IS CONSISTENT WITH THE MATERIALS AND DESIGN GUIDELINES OR STANDARDS OF THE HISTORIC DISTRICT DESIGN GUIDELINES. THE REPLACEMENT SIDING IS RECLAIMED WOOD FROM THE ORIGINAL HOUSE SIDING AND IS CONSISTENT WITH THE MATERIAL AND DESIGNS IN THE HISTORIC DISTRICT GUIDELINES. THE PROPOSED REPLACEMENT OF THE DOOR IS A METAL GLASS, METAL AND GLASS PRE-HUNG DOOR AND IS CONSISTENT WITH THE HISTORIC DISTRICT DESIGN GUIDELINES. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT LIKE FOR LIGHT REPLACEMENT AND THE APPLICANT PROVIDED NO DOCUMENTATION WHY THE EXISTING DOOR CANNOT BE REPAIRED RATHER THAN REPLACED BACK WITH. AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE FOR OUR, UM, PRESENTATION. MR. GRIFFIN, THE OWNER IS HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ASK HIM ANY QUESTIONS. OKAY. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR STAFF AT THIS POINT? SO YES, IT IS ON THE, UM, AGENDA TO GET THAT FIXED. UM, WE'RE GONNA REACH OUT TO THE CONSULTANT HOPEFULLY IN THE NEXT YEAR OR SO AND, UM, HAVE THEM COME BACK AND DO AN ASSESSMENT OF THE SURVEY AND ACTUALLY TELL US WHAT'S CONTRIBUTING AND NOT CONTRIBUTING WITHIN THE BOUNDS OF OUR EXISTING DISTRICT. AND SO, YES, IT IS ON THE AGENDA. YES, SIR. YEAH, CUZ THIS IS, UH, A HOUSE THAT, UM, WHILE IT, THE, THE CONCLUSION THAT IT PROBABLY WOULD'VE BEEN NON-CONTRIBUTING BECAUSE THE WINDOWS WERE REPLACED STILL LOOKS A LOT LIKE A, UH, MINIMAL TRADITIONAL HOUSE. THE VINYL WINDOW WINDOWS, CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG, BUT WOULD BE OF THE, THE PERIOD, UH, WITH THE, UM, UH, MULTIPLE PAINTS WOULD'VE BEEN SOMETHING THAT THEY HAD IN THERE. THE CEMETERY IS THERE. SO, UM, WHILE IT PROBABLY IS NOT CONTRIBUTING, IT CERTAINLY REPRESENTS, UH, A KEY STYLE IN THE, UH, HISTORIC, UM, DISTRICT THAT'S THAT MINIMAL TRADITIONAL BUILT IN THE, UM, LATE FORTIES, EARLY [00:10:01] FIFTIES, UH, TO ACCOMMODATE, UM, F H A LOANS OF, UH, SOLDIERS COMING BACK FROM WORLD WAR II OR WHATEVER. UH, BUT THAT'S NOT THE ORIGINAL GLASS THAT WENT IN THERE. THAT WAS PROBABLY A TWO PIECE GLASS THAT WENT IN THERE. YEAH, THAT'S THE ONLY ONE. IF IT COULD BE REPAIRED, UH, THAT'S A'S DEFINITELY MORE APPROPRIATE DOOR THAN THE OTHER ONE. THAT'S A GREAT DOOR. UM, THE PROPOSED DOOR, IF I READ CORRECTLY, PROPORTIONALLY IS NOT, WELL IT HAS, THE GENERAL IDEA IS PROPORTIONALLY NOT RIGHT. THE, THE, UM, THE WINDOW WOULD'VE BEEN SMALLER FROM THE, UM, YEAH, THAT'S, YOU'RE RIGHT. CUZ WHY THAT IS, IS THAT DOOR'S BUILT OUT OF METAL AND IT CAN DO THAT NOW AND THAT DOOR'S MADE.
